Alpha Tauri F1’s Nick de Vries hires manager for F1 debut[F1-Gate.com]

Nick de Vries has hired a manager for the first time in his motorsport career for his AlphaTauri F1 debut. He signed the job to the Frenchman Guillaume Le Goff.

Nick de Vries is known for working without a manager for a long time. He didn’t even have a physio when he replaced Alexander Albon at the F1 Italian Grand Prix, and the Williams mechanic dragged out De Vries, who mightn’t raise his arms following receiving a checkered lug.

Guillaume Le Goff has been active as driver manager since 2017. He has his own agency called TheGrid and also works with Pierre Guthrie.

“Guillaume then moved to England and worked in McLaren’s automotive division,” continued Nick de Vries.

“We met a lot there. Whenever I was there, we would meet and chat for a while.”

Nick de Vries acknowledged that having a manager reduces the responsibilities and inevitable burden of off-track activities for a Grand Prix driver, and Le Goff’s profile fits the role. says.

“I was looking for someone I might trust and know well,” Nick de Vries said.

“Besides that, I don’t want very direct and visible management. My relationship with the team is very important to me.”

“So Guillaume is not one of them, but he frees me from all sorts of background stuff.”

Being an F1 driver, Nick de Vries says he’s learned one thing.
