They confirm the 5 big brands that will arrive in Colombia in 2023; they will have physical stores

Less and less until 2022 ends and the new year officially begins, which will have several economic challenges for Colombia and will have some novelties in the business sector.

Similarly, 2023 is shaping up to be a period of recovery for the country’s economy, since big brands continue to bet on entering the national market and will arrive with multiple novelties.

Despite the fact that many decided to leave Colombia during this 2022, next year five important companies will land in the country: Ikea, Ísimo, Daewoo, Bumble and Weber, among others.

Ikea

The objective of the Swedish company, which today has more than 400 stores in 50 countries, is to open two stores, one will be located in the Mallplaza in Cali and the other in Viva Envigado, the Grupo Éxito shopping center. The person in charge of developing the business not only in Colombia, but also in Peru and Chile, will be Falabella.

Daewoo

On the other hand, the Korean company Daewoo returns to the country following eight years and hopes to consolidate during the first half of the year in the home appliance sector, while in the second part of 2023 it will bet on electric vehicles.

“The strategy is focused on products. We have a very complete and high-quality portfolio. We know that the Colombian consumer is very demanding and we have verified it by going to the points of sale. Samsung and LG are two very strong Korean brands and we are the third global brand that competes with them”, explained Christian Aliaga, CEO of the Andean Region for Daewoo, in The Republic.

The Olímpica Business Group, as previously announced, confirmed that it will start with the chain of hard discount stores, which will fill the space left by Justo & Bueno following its liquidation.

According to spokespersons for the business group, The new bet, which will be under the name of Ísimo starting in December, comes at a time when the economy will enter a stage of complexities. In addition, the beneficiaries will also be the unemployed, since they will start with 420 points in the first quarter of 2023in which the hiring of 4,000 collaborators is expected.

The company pointed out that the goal is for the first half of next year to hire more than 2,350 people in different positions, both administrative and operational. The first departments that will see the opening of the stores are those on the Atlantic coast. However, the planned expansion plan includes the start of points in the eastern region, mainly in Santander.
