Called to become its flagship, the new production unit of the Kenz group should serve as a locomotive for the export of the agro-industrial operator
The agro-industrial Kenz has just inaugurated its new couscous and pasta production unit. Amount of the operation, 200 million DH. This new factory has a production capacity of 15,000 tons of couscous/year and 23,000 tons of pasta/year.
Set up thanks to an investment agreement concluded with the government, the Kenzpat production unit is located in the Skhirat region and has enabled the creation of 140 direct and 80 indirect jobs. This production unit constitutes, according to the management of the company, a “natural extension of its activity, but also a bet on the future”.
This production unit will enable the diversification of the group’s production, which should result in the launch of a new range of products made up of 16 couscous references and 30 pasta references. Kenzpat has an annual production capacity of 15,000 tons of couscous and 20,000 tons of pasta or even a storage capacity of 2,112 tons.
The operator also aims to make Kenzpat its locomotive for export, “since a large part of its production will be intended for export, according to the group’s projections, by 2025, the year in which its industrial facilities will reach their full capacity, 40% of Kenzpat’s turnover will come from export markets,” said Kenz management in a press release. The group primarily targets the European, African, Middle Eastern and North American markets.
