China is looking for habitable planets outside the solar system

The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC) has announced that it intends to launch a program to search for habitable planets outside the boundaries of the solar system.

Speaking to the press, Foundation Director Wu Yansheng said: “By 2030, our foundation will begin the mission of studying the distant space outside our solar system to see if there are planets suitable for human life.”

“In the coming years, China will carry out space missions to explore the planets Jupiter and Uranus, as well as explore the edges of our solar system, and by 2025 we will launch a probe to explore asteroids relatively close to Earth,” he added.

The head of the foundation indicated, “In the next 15 years, China will carry out a space mission to deliver samples from Mars to Earth, and by 2028, build the basic structure of an international station on the surface of the moon. Chinese experts are also working on developing a super-heavy space missile that will be able to transport Up to 150 tons of cargo to near-earth orbit.”
