Tomorrow, at four o’clock in the evening, the Abu Dhabi Heritage Rowing Race, 40-foot category, will start for a distance of 4 kilometers, from Lulu Island to the finish line opposite the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club in the capital’s Corniche.
This race is organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club annually as part of the club’s agenda for various activities and sports, including heritage events in all categories, for which the club allocates an integrated program every season, and in national events and major celebrations, in order to enhance efforts to preserve marine heritage.
The registration process to participate in the race began on December 8, and registration closed last Tuesday, and the participating boats were approved, as the club completed the arrangements for organizing the race in accordance with the technical and organizational standards.
Khalifa Al Rumaithi, Supervisor of the Heritage Races Department at the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, confirmed that the arrangements for organizing the Abu Dhabi Heritage Race proceeded according to the set plan, and that the boats were registered during the specified registration period, which extended for two weeks according to the rules, regulations and conditions of participation, praising the commitment of the captains to all the details of the registration procedures.
