Today, Saturday, a news report stated that the management of the Saudi club Al-Nasr reached an agreement with Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent, regarding the financial compensation and all the terms of his joining the team.
Today, the Saudi newspaper “Okaz” revealed the validity of what was recently reported that the Portuguese star was close to joining Al-Nasr club in a deal worth regarding 800 million riyals (the dollar equals 3.76 riyals).
She added that private sources confirmed to her that the Al-Nasr administration had reached an agreement with Ronaldo, and it remains only to complete the final procedures and the official announcement, which is likely to take place early next week.
The sources indicated that the deal will be financed by one of the sponsoring companies of Al-Nasr Club, with an integrated strategic contract, which will extend for three years.
And European press reports had indicated, on Friday evening, that Portuguese star Ronaldo had received only two offers so far, following his contract was terminated by mutual consent with Manchester United.
Ronaldo, 37, is planning his next move following leaving Manchester United, following his controversial interview with famous British journalist Piers Morgan, in which he attacked the club’s management and the team’s coaching staff.
And the British newspaper “The Times” reported on Friday evening that Ronaldo has an offer of 173 million pounds sterling from the Saudi club Al-Nasr, in addition to another offer from a Qatari club, which contains financial items of less value than the Al-Nasr offer.
The former Real Madrid and Juventus striker is expected to make his decision within days.
Things did not improve for Ronaldo during the 2022 World Cup that was recently held in Qatar, as former Portuguese national team coach Fernando Santos pushed him on the bench in the last two World Cup matches in the Sixteen and Eight Leagues.
