Nintendo’s long-awaited sports story is now on the Switch

The long-awaited sequel to the beloved sports RPG from Nintendo is now available to players.

The well-known Japanese game developer and publisher recently released Sports Story, la suite de Golf Storyon the Nintendo Switch as part of the “Inside the House of Indies” event.

Nintendo’s “Inside the House of Indies” event gives players a daily update filled with announcements and new releases from the company’s indie partners.

Sports Story Release Details

Sports StoryMuch like its predecessor, Sports Story is a sports role-playing game that features different sports and athletic activities, all tied together by a great story, according to the game’s Nintendo Store page.

Players will find in this game the same characters as in the previous game. Golf Story and that it picks up the events of the previous game, according to Engadget.

During the plot of the game, players, through their characters, will make friends or foes, much like in the movie Pokemon.

As the name suggests, the game features sports other than golf. Players can expect to play and master eight unique golf courses, and compete in tennis matches all the way to the World Tour, and even create their own soccer team.

The practice of these sports and sports activities will increase the sports rank of the players. This will unlock various new activities like BMX, mini-gold, cricket, volleyball and fishing.

In a sports RPG, not everything is necessarily related to sports. During game downtime, players can visit the mall and enjoy its daily attractions, specialty sports stores, and mini-games.

Sports Story: A Dungeon Game

As with Pokemon, players can explore dungeons, abandoned ruins, and the mysterious wild lands by train, helicopter, and even houseboat.

Four players can play the game on a single Nintendo Switch, as long as you have another pair of controllers for the third and fourth players.

To accommodate this large amount of player support, players can play. sports history on the Handheld mode, Tabletop mode and TV mode of the Switch.

The game is also 799MB, which is nice for Switch gamers looking to save some internal storage space.

The game was supposed to release in 2020 but was delayed due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, Nintendo made it known in November that sports history will actually be released later this month, which the company did.

Nintendo’s release of the game comes at the end of its ‘Inside the House of Indies’ holiday event, which also saw the release of the RPG Mortal Shell : Complete Edition, Sound, et Hyper Gunsport.

The game includes five days of content, with the fifth day being December 24.

The event also contains updates on various games. According to the event’s official webpage, a remake of Risk of Rain is in progress, while The Gecko Gods et Pupperazzi are coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2023.
