The Somali National Army (SNA) killed 67 Al-Shabaab fighters during a nighttime operation in the southern region of Middle Shabelle, an official confirmed on Friday.
SNA Infantry Commander Mohamed Tahlil Bihi told the Somali National News Agency that elite troops and international partners jointly carried out an attack on the fighters.
The joint forces were pursuing Shebab fighters fleeing the Middle Shabelle region, Bihi added.
