Researchers have unearthed the oldest arrowheads in America in the US state of Idaho (USA): As a dating with Austrian help has now shown, these projectiles are around 15,700 years old. They were probably mounted on darts that were fired with slingshot sticks, so-called atlatl. Their design parallels that of older projectile tips found in present-day Japan, proving that the earliest immigrants to the Americas were associated with the peoples of Northeast Asia.
