She has a career as long as her arm (the “thing” must be jealous)

Despite her young age, Jenna Ortega is far from being a novice and you must have already seen her face on your screens. Actress since she was eight years old, she became known thanks to the series “Jane the Virgin” then joined the Disney channel before playing in the series “You”.

Then she chained projects in the cinema, more particularly in horror cinema, which earned her the nickname “Scream Queen”. In 2022, she further reinforces this image by playing Tara Carpenter in the film “Scream”, a role she will resume next year.

For the little anecdote, the actress was filming in New Zealand when she auditioned for the role of Wednesday. The meeting with Tim Burton was done on Zoom and Jenna hadn’t had time to remove her makeup… so it was covered in fake blood that she appeared in front of the director. She mightn’t have found a better strategy for interpreting Wednesday!

She looks just like her character!

No, we don’t mean by that that she’s a psychopath who likes to fish with grenades and who likes to dig up corpses. Just like Wednesday, Jenna Ortega likes to write. With the difference that she doesn’t do it on an old typewriter and she doesn’t invent macabre stories. In 2021, she publishes the book “It’s All Love: Reflections for Your Heart & Soul”.

Through affirmations and illustrations, she evokes a form of tenderness and benevolence for herself, depression, her daily struggles and the difficulties of being a Latino in Hollywood.

She is involved in many causes

Jenna Ortega has convictions and does not hesitate to give of her person to defend them. She therefore fights once morest homophobia, she also campaigns for the rights of women and immigrants and since 2017, she has supported the UNAIDS organization which aims to improve the daily lives of people with HIV.

In short, Jenna Ortega is on all fronts. We have often compared the “Wednesday” series to Harry Potter, but the young woman shows us that she really does not need a magic wand to work miracles.

The first season is still a hit on Netflix so don’t hesitate to watch it if you haven’t already!
