DJ Uiagalelei is familiar with Tony Elliott’s work in Virginia.
All signs point to DJ Uiagalelei returning to the West Coast to complete his college career, but there’s another school in the ACC that might be one to watch. These are the Virginia Cavaliers. There are three reasons why Uiagalelei’s move to UVA makes sense. He would reunite with Tony Elliott, replace Brennan Armstrong and know the ACC.
The Cavaliers had a very difficult first season under Elliott for many reasons. Frankly, all parties involved might help each other. The fact that Uiagalelei already has some knowledge of the Elliott scheme, as well as what the UVA may be in the ACC, makes this possibility real. The fact that Armstrong entered the portal paves the way for Uiagalelei to be the starter.
Virginia might just be an unlucky candidate for Uiagalelei, but adapting would be pretty easy for him.
