Blackmagic Design, the developer of video editing app DaVinci Resolve, previously announced that an iPad app is in the works. Getting ready to download later this year, the latest DaVinci Resolve iPad version is available on the App Store today and it’s free! too
For the app DaVinci Resolve is a popular video editing and color grading app that was previously available for Mac and Windows. The iPad version will come with many features, including:
- Up to 4x faster Ultra HD ProRes rendering performance on iPad Pro, M2 chip.
- HDR editing support for 12.9-inch iPad Pro customers with an M1 chip or later.
- Support for opening and creating project files from DaVinci Resolve 18 PC version.
- H.264, H.265, Apple ProRes and Blackmagic RAW files are supported.
- Support for importing clips from iPad Pro’s internal storage, photo library, iCloud, or an external HDD connected via USB-C.
The file size is regarding 2GB. It can be used with iPads that use the Apple A12 Bionic chip or higher and run on iPadOS 16 as well, or the following list.

The DaVinci Resolve for iPad app is free to download. But for the Studio version, you will have to pay an additional 3,500 baht via In-App Purchase.
