the ARS of Corsica recommends vigilance for the end of year celebrations

The ARS of Corsica has published its traditional weekly press release.

First of all, the Agency recommends that the population be very vigilant during these end-of-year celebrations, due to several viruses currently raging. COVID-19, flu and bronchiolitis are circulating throughout the island.

The ARS thus calls for responsibility by respecting “barrier gestures and by being vaccinated”. She also strongly recommends wearing a mask in closed and crowded places. Today, COVID-19 affects 499 people out of 100,000 on the island, or 0.49% of the population.

Last week, 1,745 new cases were identified in Corsica, or 249 daily cases. If the viral circulation decreases, it nevertheless remains high.
