According to the entity, these foods are present in 422 municipalities in 24 departments. Most of them are planted by small producers who work in the general tasks of the crop, generating four direct jobs per hectare, reaching eight to ten jobs in the productive season, depending on the species.

Meta, Tolima, Huila, Antioquia, Boyacá, Norte de Santander, Nariño and Cundinamarca are the departments that stand out for the production of these varieties. The main species that are prioritized by this entity are passion fruit, gulupa, granadilla, curuba, cholupa and badea, the first two being the products with the highest exports.

It is essential that these fruits are included in the daily consumption of Colombian families since it generates more well-being and a better quality of life, in addition to supporting Colombian agriculture.
