On Thursday, Red Bull Salzburg appointed Bernd Winkler as head of the women’s football department that was created a few weeks ago. The 43-year-old from Salzburg last worked in scouting within the club for around eight years.
“Our common goal is to create the appropriate structures to bring as many young players from the region to us as possible, to be able to offer them training at a high level and thus allow women’s football to grow sustainably,” said Winkler, himself a former professional at the SCR Altach, among others, quoted.
The next concrete steps: Bernd Winkler will take over as head of women’s football. The first viewing date will be on January 19, 2023 at the Red Bull Football Academy.
