Indira Ampiot’s life changed on Saturday evening in Châteauroux. The pretty Guadeloupe, aged only 18, has indeed become Miss France 2023. A great victory that might have passed under her nose… The fault of an incident that occurred during the important moment of the passage in front of the jury which preselects the 15 candidates who will then be decided by the public, and the invited personalities, to choose the 5 finalists, then the new Miss France.
In a video interview with CosmopolitanIndira Ampiot thus revealed to have been the victim of a beautiful fall during this decisive moment in the Miss France adventure. “I had already gone before the jury, but then we went back to the girls and I found myself on the ground”she said, explaining that it was regarding her “biggest shame”. “My heels had no grip. I fell !”she added, explaining that she had been the victim of a floor that was a little too slippery.
Fortunately, the jury did not hold it once morest her and retained her in the list of 15 lucky women selected at the first stage. With this title of Miss France 2023, the young woman who succeeds Diane Leyre, Miss France 2022, intends to raise awareness among the French regarding causes that are dear to her. She wants so “Helping women with cancer regain their self-confidence. This is a cause in tribute to my grandmother who sadly left us this year, following five cancers”, she confided to Télé 7 Jours shortly following her election.
“And given that she is a woman who was very flirtatious, who might not leave her home without making up, combing her hair etc., so every morning with my mother we went to prepare her, we knew that it made her happy I know it gave her hope and that’s what I want to do, what I want to advocate for all women.i,” she added.
