AMD has released the latest Software Adrenalin 22.12.2 (RX 7900) graphics driver package. It does not provide support for new games or game updates. The new software is limited to the Radeon RX 7900 XTX and RX 7900 XT graphics cards and contains bug fixes that occur when using these graphics accelerators.
List of fixed issues:
- visual distortion when using the Virtual Super Resolution feature on a multi-monitor configuration;
- intermittent system crashes when changing the primary monitor on quad-display configurations;
- Driver crash or timeout when loading Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales with ray tracing settings enabled.
- the power consumption of video cards during video playback has been reduced. Further power efficiency optimizations are expected in future driver releases.
List of known issues:
- excessive standby power consumption when using monitors with high resolution and refresh rate;
- Driver crash or timeout when using Radeon Super Resolution and multiple displays;
- Possible image stuttering or performance degradation when displaying the game window and playing video at the same time on an advanced display configuration;
- Image stuttering may occur at the start of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
- Driver crash or timeout when launching Valheim game in Vulkan API mode. AMD suggests running the game in DirectX API mode as a workaround.
- performance issues in some VR apps and games.
