Palakkad ∙ A mother who asked her teacher for Rs 500 to feed the hunger of her son suffering from cerebral palsy received Rs 51 lakh in her account within days. Subhadra, a native of Kootnad, Palakkad, received the help of well-wishers. People came to help following seeing the Facebook post of Girija teacher of Wattenad School regarding their plight.

Subhadra has 3 children including a seventeen year old son who is sick. After the death of her husband 5 months ago, she was left without any support. Subhadra leaves her 2 children to her son and goes to work. He lives in a dilapidated hut. Girija asked the teacher for help when he saw no way to move his life forward.

After paying the requested amount, the teacher informed the world regarding their miserable life through social media. Seeing the helplessness of Subhadra, the well-wishers stepped in and helped, and the suffering came to an end. Subhadra is preparing to complete the half-way housework and her son’s further treatment with this money.
