His girlfriend was accused of helping him escape the police and was prosecuted. She denied one crime of committing an act intended to obstruct justice. After trial, she was convicted in the District Court. Judge Yao Xunzhi today (21st) pointed out that the defendant’s behavior seriously undermined the execution of justice. The defendant facing sentencing today is 26-year-old Zhang Zhicheng, who reported that she was a trainee. She was Huang Junhua’s girlfriend at the time of the incident. Intent to assist Huang Junhua to evade arrest by the Hong Kong Police Force. During the interrogation, the prosecution pointed out that following Huang Junhua fled the scene, the defendant kept looking for flight information. After Huang bought the ticket, the defendant also accompanied him to the airport. Huang stabbed a policeman who was performing his duty with a knife, causing serious injury to the policeman. This is already a very serious crime. Huang was arrested, and with the assistance of the defendant, Huang may have escaped from the law. His behavior seriously hindered the execution of judicial justice. In the end, the judge sentenced the defendant to one year in prison, taking into account the defendant’s role, not being involved in a complex organization or plan, and the probation officer’s positive evaluation of the defendant.
