Today, Tuesday, Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, chaired the meeting of the Higher Ministerial Committee for Hajj, in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Gomaa, Minister of Endowments, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, and Nevin Al-Qabbaj, Minister of Solidarity. Lieutenant General Muhammad Abbas Helmy, Minister of Civil Aviation, Hassan Shehata, Minister of Manpower, Ahmed Issa, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Major General Alaa Al-Ahmadi, Assistant Minister of Interior for the Administrative Affairs Sector, Ambassador Ismail Khairat, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs, and officials of a number of agencies concerned.
The Prime Minister indicated that this meeting was called on the occasion of the start of preparations and arrangements for the upcoming Hajj season, and said that there are coordination meetings that have already been held with our brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding the Hajj season, where various details related to this matter were discussed.
The Prime Minister directed the continuation of the preparatory meetings that take place between the concerned Egyptian authorities, as well as coordination meetings with the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In order to ensure the provision of all necessary services to the Egyptian pilgrims, and to facilitate all their affairs, with the cancellation of the Hajj at the state’s expense for this year, and to reduce the number of pilgrims’ service missions to a minimum.
