Five years following the death of Taulier, the exhibition devoted to Johnny Hallyday opens its doors this Tuesday in Brussels, before being presented in Paris in 2024. It traces the life of the singer made up of successes and disappointments.
In total immersion in the life of the rocker. The exhibition dedicated to Johnny Hallydaywhich is presented in Brussels from this Tuesday, December 20, allows visitors to immerse themselves in the intimacy of the French star who died in 2017, following lung cancer.
For his widow Laeticia Hallyday, presenting this event in Belgium is a way of paying homage “to the roots he always sought to fill following the abandonment of his father”.
A tribute to a music legend
In a journey that takes on the appearance of a guitar, and guided by the voice of the actor and friend of the star, Jean Reno, visitors will notably discover the reconstruction of his bedroom as a teenager in Clichy or that of his office that he had in his residence Marnes-la-Coquettein the suburbs of Paris, where he breathed his last.
Many stage costumes that Johnny Hallyday has worn throughout his career are also presented to the public: leather jackets, shirts embroidered with lightning or sequined flared pants.
If archive photos return to the moments of glory of the Taulier, like his arrival by helicopter for his concert at the Stade de France in 1998, the exhibition also shows a man who might feel deeply alone.
After Brussels, the traveling exhibition will be presented in Paris in January 2024, then probably in Switzerland and Canada.
