The director wants to make the TNS “a school where the practices of theatre, cinema and audiovisual are built and thought of in the same movement”, and to do this the theater will join forces with the television channel Franco-German Arte, headquartered in Strasbourg.
A “resolutely European” project
She will take office on September 1 following Stanislas Nordey, 56, whose Minister of Culture Rima Abdul-Malak salutes “the remarkable action in favor of contemporary creation and writing, but also his important work in collaboration with around twenty associated artists – directors, authors and actors”.
Rima Abdul-Malak is delighted “with the new dynamic that Caroline Guiela Nguyen will breathe into the TNS, with an open and generous, resolutely European project. Like its shows and its writing process, it will carry a decompartmentalized vision, mixing theater and cinema, small history and great history, the intimate and the collective, ”continues the ministry.
