In October 2022, economic activity showed annual growth of 4.6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, measured by the Index of Follow-up to the Economy (ISE).

This growth rate is higher than that presented in September (4.4 annual percent), but lower than that of August of this year (8.6 percent).
With this, so far this year growth is already at 8.7 percent.
The economic activities that contributed the most to growth in October were tertiary, which contributed 4.4 percentage points to the annual variation of the ISE in its original series and increased by 6.0 percent.
Secondary activities grew annually by 4.0 percent. For their part, primaries fell 3.5 percent.
The branches that grew the most
By branches, the ones that contributed the most were artistic activities (2 points), the manufacturing industries (0.6 points) and public administration and defense (0.6 points), which together added 3.2 points.
The item that grew the most in October was the public administration and defense, education and health, with an increase of 10.4 percent; and that of financial and insurance activities, which grew 8.9 percent.
On the contrary, agricultural activities and the exploitation of mines and quarries fell by 3.5 percent. The supply of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning only increased by 0.7 percent.
