“I am very happy with the 3rd place in Alta Badia.”

The Slovenian Zan Kranjec made it onto the podium today at the 2nd giant slalom in Alta Badia. Behind Marco Odermatt from Switzerland and Norway Henrik Kristoffersen he secured 3rd place on the podium.

On Sunday he went into the final run as the leader, but had to settle for fifth place followingwards. While yesterday he had to leave the finish area disappointed, today he was visibly satisfied in the ORF interview

Zan Kranjec: “I am very happy today. Yesterday I was a bit worried and thought for a long time why I lost so much time in the final. Somehow I wasn’t clear in my head. Today, on the other hand, I was more relaxed and put this ease into practice in the race. My skiing in the final was very good today and I’m happy regarding the podium. In the 2nd round I changed skis today compared to yesterday. I just feel better on the “longer skis”. It was very tight yesterday, so I had to take the shorter ones. Everything just fell into place today

I hope that in the coming weeks I will get used to defending a lead better. That’s why I always have to attack in the final. Now I’m looking forward to Christmas and will of course continue to train so that I can fight for the podium once more in Adelboden.”
