When Argentina reached the top of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, a female fan was caught on the relay camera who took off her top because she mightn’t control her joy.
Foreign media reported that the woman who exposed her breasts in public facilities might be imprisoned.
In the 2022 Qatar World Cup final once morest France held at the Lusail Stadium in Lusail, Qatar on the 19th, Argentina drew 3-3 following a bloody battle of 120 minutes and won 4-2 in the penalty shootout that followed.
When Argentina confirmed their World Cup title, an Argentinian female soccer fan was captured on camera as if she mightn’t control her joy, taking off her top. She was caught standing in front of the jubilant Argentinian crowd and cheering with her top off.
In response, the British Daily Mail reported that the woman who exposed her upper body might go to jail because of the Qatari government’s strict dress code.
Prior to the opening of the World Cup, the Qatar Tourism Board announced to visitors, “We hope that both men and women will respect Qatari local culture by avoiding excessively exposed clothing in public places.”
In particular, Qatari authorities banned exposure of the chest and shoulders to women who visited the World Cup, and recommended that they wear skirts or pants that cover the lower part of the body up to the knees.
In other words, an ‘accident’ in which the upper body was completely exposed beyond excessive exposure of the costume occurred at the end of the competition. However, there has been no news so far that the media has reported that the woman was arrested by the authorities.
