Today, Monday, December 19, the artistic community bid farewell to the artist Hisham El-Sherbiny, who suddenly left our world, and was keen to mourn a number of his fellow artists, especially in the National Theater, to which he belonged.

In the following lines, we review the most important information regarding the late artist, and those who were keen to mourn him on social media.

– He passed away this morning, Monday, and the funeral prayer was held for him following the Asr prayer in the Al-Mazlah Mosque.

He was buried in his family’s tombs in his hometown, Mansoura.

He studied at the Academy of Arts.

He started his artistic career as an assistant director in a number of series, including: “Al-Gharba” and “Haret Al-Shurafa”.

– A member of the Egyptian National Theatre.

Among the most famous films in which he participated were: “Free of Cholesterol”, “Those Days”, “Tetah Rahiba”, “The Party”, and “The Last Winter”.

He participated in several historical and religious TV series, including: Al-Fath Al-Mubin, Ibn Majah, Imam of the Preachers.

He stood in front of the star Yahya Al-Fakharani in the play “King Lear”, which was shown at the National Theatre.

– Participated in more in front of “The Leader” Adel Imam: “Mamoun and Partners”, “Professor and Head of Department”.

Among the most prominent television dramas in which he participated were: “A Case of Public Opinion,” “Free Fall,” “Disappearance,” “Sun Dress,” “Lucky Shot,” “The Journey,” “Group 2,” “Weapon Guard,” Adham El-Sharkawy, “Al-Dali”, “Grand Hotel”.

– The last work of the artist, Hisham El-Sherbiny, was the series “Every Week on Friday”, which was shown in 2020.

– About his participation in the play “Interrogative Bin Saadoun,” he said in a video interview: “The play is regarding historical and political incidents that happened, and we try to link them together. Historically, we try to see these events happen in the same way and think with more than one character, and we try to let the audience return to the theater.”

The last public post he wrote through his Facebook account was last January, when he published a picture of his brother and commented, “Today is the first anniversary of my beloved brother, the honorable advisor Ashraf El-Sherbiny. He will make your abode in Paradise, and join you with the righteous, the martyrs, and the righteous, and those whose deeds are good until the Day of Judgment, and they are good.

The artist, Reham Abdel Ghafour, called him, and wrote on Facebook: “I would like to say that unfortunately, the job is to shorten the life span of human beings. Ages are in the hands of God, but surely frustration and failure to achieve dreams and constant pursuit without a result is a fatal thing. May God have mercy on him and be kind to him. Hisham El-Sherbiny. Al-Fatihah, please.”

– And the director, Hisham Jumaa, wrote, “We belong to God and to Him we shall return!!! My beloved, the kind and pure..always dreaming of a better tomorrow (Hisham El-Sherbiny), the star of the National Theater, is under God’s protection. Patience and fortitude”.

– Director Mazen Al-Gharabawi mourned him, “Mazen Al-Gharabawi, farewell, my beautiful friend.. the distinguished artist Hisham El-Sherbiny.. a member of the National Theater, who has passed away, from the faithful theater artists who spent their lives in the theater.”
