The actress had a five-month-old daughter when her husband lost his life in a tragic accident.
Catherine War recalled one of the greatest pains of his life, in a sincere conversation with Cecilia Boloccowhere she spoke of the sudden death of her first husband.
The actress paid homage to her mother Gloria Münchmeyer in the program All for youwhere he reviewed his personal history.
After a childhood marked by art and her mother’s efforts to raise her family alone, Catalina decided to follow in Gloria’s footsteps and become an actress.
After beginning his career in Argentina, where he studied theater, in 1990 Guerra began working at Canal 13. There he met producer Ricardo Larenaswith whom he fell in love and with whom he married.
In 1993, Catalina Guerra was only 22 years old and had a five-month-old daughter, when a tragic car accident on the way to Farellones took the life of her husband.
“We did not say goodbye. It is the strongest and most traumatic thing that has happened to me”, the actress confessed to Bolocco. “You feel that something like this cannot happen to you at that age, it’s too rare,” she added.
Catalina Guerra: “I was in mourning for 7 years (for my husband)”
Her mother was fundamental in the mourning process she experienced, one of the hardest stages of her life.
“I was in mourning for at least seven years. My mom says that she had never seen me as young as her in that minute, ”she related.
In fact, Gloria also remembered that moment. “She became a little thing in a corner of the househe looked up at me and said ‘help me’”, he said.
Münchmeyer ignored her own pain to support her daughter. “I joined the pain, I never told her not to cry, on the contrary, it was squeezing her and she cried and cried, we went for a walk, I made her breathe and feeling the same pain as hers,” he recounted.
To this day, Catalina is grateful for her mother. “She grabbed me, held me and we went for a walk. She was very important at that moment, she was with me like in all the important moments, ”she assured.
“I have to connect with my pain”
In 1995, Catalina joined the cast of Amor a Domicilio, where she gave life to “Fernanda”, a woman who sees her partner “Matías” (Guido Vecchiola) die of leukemia.
“I remember when I did that scene I said to myself ‘I have to connect with my pain. I have to replace this situation that I am experiencing in fiction, I am going to adopt it and I am going to be able to say goodbye to Ricardo through this moment,’” he revealed regarding the scene.
