During the ordinary session this Thursday, the National Assembly (AN) declared the Special Annual Indebtedness Law for the 2023 Economic and Financial Year sanctioned, which sets the maximum amount of debt that the Republic can incur through public credit operations.

The president of the Finance Subcommittee, Deputy Ramón Lobo (PSUV/Mérida), pointed out that the disbursements will be aimed at improving public services, strengthening the Bolivarian Economic Agenda and the 18 productive engines.

The parliamentarian said that the law contemplates the indebtedness of 12.2% of the income foreseen in the National Budget 2023 under the figure of the financial source with resources from the financing of the national and foreign market.

He explained that the resources are aimed at addressing the recovery of public services such as electricity, transportation and productive development, continuing the 2021 orientation of improving these sectors.

“From the Permanent Commission on Economy and Finance we made the observations to the Law and ratified that 2023 will be the definitive year of economic takeoff to restore the quality of life of the Venezuelan people,” said the deputy.
