Kochi – Union Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan said that the political parties should reach a common consensus to end the hartal and lightning strikes in the state. The Union Minister was inaugurating the Kerala unit of the Indo-Gulf and Middle East Chamber of Commerce in Kochi.

As Kerala gears up for a major development push, the strikes holding it back must end. V. Muralidharan said that there should be discussions for this regardless of party politics and various chambers should exert influence for this. The minister also reminded that Kerala is the land of those who called for hartal on World Tourism Day.

The face of the state will change when the projects including Vizhinjam Port and Kochi-Coimbatore Industrial Corridor are completed. The Center is giving high priority to infrastructure development in Kerala. Kerala has to pay twice as much for national highway land acquisition than other states.

Environmental issues are also a matter to be considered while coming up with development projects. Yet when the state embarks on major change, it must not have an undermining approach. The minister said that there should be a situation where the educated youth of the state can start enterprises here. V. Muralidharan said that the world market for local products can be found.

Today, under the Narendra Modi government, there is great cooperation with the Gulf countries in various fields. In 2014, there was an investment of 28,000 crore rupees from the Gulf countries, today it has increased five times. V. Muralidharan also opined that the healthy interactions of the diaspora community is enhancing India’s image among the Gulf countries.

Terming the long vacations in the country’s courts as a legacy of the British rule, the Union Minister also criticized the vacation system followed by the courts. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is to carry the traditional culture and values ​​of our country along with the revolutionary advancement in science and technology. Modi is the leader who will lead the country from the Upanishads to satellites and V. Muralidharan said.

Rajaram Mohan Roy is a person who firmly believed and propagated that women have the same rights as men. It is a matter of thought that even following the banning of sati, women are being subjected to human sacrifice.
