Big Ramy loses “Mr. Olympia”…and comes in fifth place

Iranian Hadi Choban won the “Mr. Olympia” title, beating Egyptian Mamdouh Al-Subaie, famous for “Big Ramy”, who won the title in 2020 and 2021.

“Big Ramy” came in fifth place in the championship in which the Egyptian athlete competed in the open weight category.

While Derek Lunsford finished second, Nick Walker third, and Brandon Curry fourth.

The total prizes for “Mr. Olympia” for 2022 are regarding $ 1.6 million, which is the same as last year’s edition.

Last year, Big Ramy won the Mr. Olympia Professional Championship title, for the second time in a row, in the competitions that were held in the US state of Florida.

Al-Subaie is the 16th player to be crowned Mr. Olympia since the launch of the most prominent bodybuilding championship in 1965, and he is classified as the only Arab player to win the title on two occasions.

Lebanese Samir Bannout was the first Arab player to win the professional Mr. Olympia title in 1983.
