First, the entrance to the airport It will only be for passengers who have their ticket or boarding pass. This document must be shown in order to enter the premises. “By government provision, currently the entrance to #JorgeChávez is only for passengers”, reads his statement on his Facebook account. This includes pedestrian and vehicular entry.

In addition, the statement emphasizes the importance of checking the status of your flight before approaching the airport, to prevent changes or cancellations due to what is happening.

To leave passengers by vehicular access, only accredited passengers and the driver of the vehicle will be allowed to enter. To pick up passengers, only the driver of the vehicle will enter, no companion. These measures apply from today at 2:00 p.m.

Also, the Jorge Chavez Airport announced a second measure regarding emergency passports. “The headquarters of the National Superintendency of Migrations of Peru of #JorgeChávez will only process the issuance of urgent passports to those passengers who are within 8 hours of their flights”indicate.

As is known, in the National Superintendence of Migrations of Peru located at the airport you can process the emergency passport. However, due to the crisis situation and excessive protests that have been seen daily in the country in the last week, the service will only be available to passengers within 8 hours prior to their flights.

All other passengers who require the service but do not meet the requirement, will have to go to the main headquarters of Migrations, located in Breña. The measure is effective from this Wednesday.
