Nt is the first time that Karsten Warholm, Olympic, world and European 400m hurdles champion, surprises with his hard training sessions. But this time the Norwegian hurdler posted an impressive video of a weight training session, in which he performs 12 repetitions with… 406 kilos!
“Your favorite exercise is back!” Warholm said joking on networks. “We haven’t named the exercise yet, but we’re guessing it’s a world record.”
The brutal training has aroused debate among some of his followers, who wonder if carrying so much weight has any benefit in running faster. Other athletes joke with the Norwegian’s message, such as the pole vaulter Renaud Lavillenie, who replied: “Stranger things”.
