Capcom announced that the DLC Resident Evil Village VR Mode will be available at the launch of PlayStation VR2on February 22, 2023.
The bravest players will be able to experience the world of survival horror like never before with the VR mode of Resident Evil Village. This new immersive mode will be available alongside the launch of the PlayStation VR2 on February 22, 2023 as free DLC for all owners of Resident Evil Village or of Resident Evil Village Gold Edition on PlayStation 5.
VR mode takes over the entire main campaign and takes the much-acclaimed experience to new heights. An even more immersive and captivating adventure awaits players thanks to the PlayStation VR2, as Ethan Winters’ Journey takes full advantage of the headset’s advanced features. VR mode uses 4K HDR screen, eye tracking and 3D sound to render Resident Evil Village more realistic and more intense than ever. Players will be able to rediscover Lady Dimitrescu’s castle and its imposing mistress of the place, in all their splendor.
In addition to entering the universe of Resident Evil Village with the helmet PlayStation VR2players will be able to apprehend their environment in a new way thanks to the controllers PlayStation VR2 Sense, which will allow you to perform intuitive actions in the game. Players can, for example, raise their arms in front of them to protect themselves and repel enemies that are too sticky. Weapons will also be more realistic in VR mode with new gameplay elements that enhance immersion, such as two-handed weapon handling and natural movements for reloading firearms and wielding the knife.
Resident Evil Village VR Mode is a free extension of Resident Evil Village and its version Gold Edition scheduled for February 22, 2023 on PlayStation VR2.
