Discounts of 3000 euros on Tesla inventory in Europe > teslamag.de

Tesla assumes that it will be able to sell every electric car it produces in the foreseeable future, said CEO Elon Musk in October when the following a unusually large difference between these two numbers in the third quarter was questioned. Now the fourth quarter is almost over – and probably in order to boost sales beforehand, Tesla is now offering noticeable discounts in Europe for the first time in a long time.

21 reduced Model 3 in Germany

Already at the end of November it was noticed that the European Tesla sites once more have Model 3 and Model Y in larger numbers were to be found – not everything that rolled out of the Gigafactory in China or the new one in Germany had already been sold. On Thursday, teslamag.de also found out regarding a Supercharger credit for probably all customers in Europe, who will take over any Tesla this year. And on Friday, Model 3 and Model Y were in stock for several markets, sometimes with significant discounts.

For Germany, 21 vehicles were “available for quick delivery” in the morning inventory on the site. It was all regarding Model 3, but unlike the day before, not only in the smallest RWD version, but in all three variants. With all of them, you might click on a small information symbol behind which the information “Offer advantage: 3000 euros” is hidden (see screenshot above). The three cheapest Model 3 for Germany cost 49,170 euros (with the Tesla share of the environmental bonus already deducted, but including the delivery fee).

Model Y was initially not in the German stock on Friday, but for example in France. For these, however, Tesla did not offer a 3,000 euro discount at the end of the year, but only 500 euros. In the case of the SUV, the relationship between supply and demand seems to be more advantageous for the manufacturer – for Model 3 in stock there is also a 3000 euro discount in France. The same was true for the Netherlands, where Tesla did not offer any discounts for Model Y. In Norway, on the other hand, where electric car taxes will rise significantly in 2023there were no vehicles to be found in the inventory.

Largest Tesla discount for Model Y in Switzerland

The Tesla discounts proved to be the largest in random samples in Switzerland, where the Model 3 and Model Y were each available in two versions. A price reduction of 2960 francs (currently almost the same in euros) was offered for the Model 3, and even 4580 euros for the Model Y.

Shortly before the end of the year, you can apparently still get a few bargains at Tesla in Europe because electric cars no longer practically sell themselves. Together with the supercharger credit from the previous day, there is a possible advantage of a good 4000 euros for Germany, for example – of course, assuming that the prices at Tesla will not be lowered regularly next year in view of the further increase in production worldwide.

Update: The Model 3 in the German inventory might no longer be seen following a few hours on Friday, so they were probably sold. However, Tesla seems to have even more of them up its sleeve, because on Saturday morning there were even 27 Model 3s to choose from on the site. But none of them seemed to be in the basic version with rear-wheel drive.
