Product recall: Blocks of foie gras recalled due to “bad smell”

the essential
The Alsatian house Feyel & Artzner has launched a recall procedure for blocks of foie gras. These products are likely to present an “organoleptic alteration (odor)”.

This is an announcement that might make foie gras consumers cringe during this holiday season. The Alsatian house Feyel & Artzner proceeded Thursday, December 15 to recall a batch of blocks of duck foie gras with pieces of 200 grams from four to six people. The group deplores an “organoleptic alteration (odor)”.

The ad was placed on the site rappel.conso.gouv.fr. The Feyel group also explains that consumers of these blocks of foie gras risk “organoleptic changes” (an alteration of the senses).
