Jordan: Protesters arrested following protesting fuel price hike
The authorities have announced the arrest of 44 people who took part in the protests. The investigation into the murder of a colonel in a mobilized province is also continuing.

The public security department also indicated that the investigation into the murder of a colonel was continuing. The investigation into this murder “will not stop until the author is arrested and brought to justice,” said the statement from Jordanian security on Saturday. King Abdullah II said the day before that a firm response would be given to “anyone who uses a weapon once morest the state”.
The strikes and demonstrations began more than a week ago with a movement of truck drivers, followed by taxi drivers, and affected several provinces in the south of the country.
