The former Minister of Health, Hamad Hassan, commented on social media on the issue of the high price of a number of local medicines that exceeds the price of imported ones, saying: “Be proud of your concern for medicine in the national industry in terms of quality and price, and struggle to raise subsidies for it, until the mulberry leaf fell as a curtain of your shortcomings. Its price has become many times higher than its imported counterpart, and your feeble slogan is the health of the citizen.” And he stressed that “it is astonishing at what is being done to this people silently: there is no medicine, no cure, and no echo of pain, except for deafening weeping and lavish promises.”
