Summary WWE SmackDown December 16, 2022

The Bloodline they begin to go their separate ways before beginning their first match of the night.

Damage CTRL (IYO SKY and Dakota Kai) defeated Liv Morgan and Tegan Nox to retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Dakota and Liv begin the fight, with the face throwing her rival once morest the cornerback through a dropkick. Tegan comes into play and tries to dominate Kai, but she reverses the situation following a scorpion kick. Tegan and Liv combine, applying a double suplex to IYO. The Japanese receives a headbutt from Nox, which leaves both very touched. The two contestants manage to take over from their companions, with Liv entering with everything. However, a big kick from Dakota allows the champions to execute a combo powerbomb. Liv executes a sunset flip with a powerbomb on Kai at ringside. IYO launches himself on the face and returns to the ring to face Nox. The action moves back to ringside, where Bayley tries to attack Tegan. She gets rid of the heel, who is taken out of the public by an unidentified person. The face returns to the ring, where SKY surprises her. A moosault from the Japanese puts an end to the fight.

LA Knight He enters the ring and clarifies that he is still standing despite the attacks and attempts once morest him. He warns Wyatt that he needs to drop the victim complex regarding him and start putting up a fight. Bray Wyatt he interrupts, stating that they both know how their story will end. Knight launches an attack that corners Wyatt. Uncle Howdy interrupts on the screens and warns Knight that he went too far. ohUNCLE HOWDY APARECE EN SMACKDOWN! Knight recoils in fear as laughter is heard throughout the arena.

GUNTHER derrota a Ricochet and retains the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Adam Pearce expels Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser from ringside before starting the fight. GUNTHER starts attacking his opponent’s leg before working his arm. Ricochet manages to escape from a blow to the chest before being thrown out of the ring. Ricochet escapes from a Boston Crab before getting up for a backslap. GUNTHER dominates with a neck lock before receiving a Clutch. Finally “The Highlight” manages to take distance for several kicks and resists the Powerbomb to attack GUNTHER at ringside. He manages to take him down with a Moonsault before the commercial break. GUNTHER stops his opponent in the corner, but finds himself in trouble as he falls from a full damage Suplex. Ricochet surprises with a Vertical Suplex on the giant and applies closed blows to shake him up. The one from IMPERIUM responds with a Powerbomb, but it is not enough. GUNTHER decides to apply his Last Symphony for victory.

At the advice of Paul Heyman, Adam Pearce announces that Roman Reigns and Sami Zayn will face Kevin Owens and a partner of their choice on December 30 in Tampa Bay.

Hit-Row (Ashante “Thee” Adonis and Top Dolla) defeat Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) and Legado del Fantasma (Cruz del Toro and Joaquin Wilde). Ivar and Ashante start. The Vikings get the upper hand, but Top Dolla pounces on them quickly. Legado del Fantasma come out to the ring and launch into their two rival teams at ringside. Dolla dominates the action until Cruz del Toro manages to stop him with a jump from the heights. Zelina Vega, Vallhalla and B-Fab start an altercation that goes to the ring. Hit-Row’s Heavy Hitter over Joaquin Wilde for the pinpoint victory.

Hit-Row will face The Usos for the Unified Tag Team Championships next week.

Backstage, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler attack Raquel Rodriguez.
