During the event Jump Party 2023a new promotional video for the film was revealed Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard Kingwhose premiere is scheduled for March 31, 2023 in the platform’s global catalog Netflix. Although it is still an anime adaptation of the manga written and illustrated by Yuki Tabata, Black Clover, the story of this feature film is completely original.
The video also shows a fragment of the main musical theme of the film, performed by the South Korean boy-band TREASURE and titled “Here I Stand“.
The press release also revealed new members of the voice cast, including:
- Houchuu Ootsuka as Edward, the twentieth Wizard King.
- Miyuki Sawashiro as Princia, the eleventh Wizard King.
Tabata began publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from the publisher Shueisha in February 2015. The work inspired a 170-episode anime adaptation produced by Pierrot Studios, under the direction of Tatsuya Yoshihara y Ayataka Tanemura and scripts written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu y Hatsuo Narareleased in October 2017.

- Ayataka Tanemura (Naruto: Shippuuden, Sousei no Onmyouji, D.Gray-man Hallow) is in charge of directing the anime at the studios Pierrot.
- Itsuko Takeda (Sousei no Onmyouji, Kingdom 2nd Season, Level E) is in charge of character design and animation direction.
- Johnny Then (Black Clover: Yuno no Sho, Black Clover: Kishidan no Sho) y You have Ori He is in charge of writing and supervising the scripts.
- Minako Seki (Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou!, Kingdom, Masamune Datenicle) is in charge of composing the soundtrack.
Sinopsis de Black Clover
Asta and Yuno were dumped at the same church on the same day. Raised together as children, they came to know the “Wizard King,” a title given to the strongest wizard in the kingdom, and vowed to compete once morest each other to see who might become the next Wizard King. However, as they grew older the vast difference between them became apparent. While Yuno is able to wield magic with amazing power and control, Asta is unable to use magic at all, desperately trying to awaken his powers by physically training.
When they turn 15, Yuno receives a spectacular Grimoire with a four-leaf clover, while Asta receives nothing. However, soon following, Yuno is attacked by a person named Lebuty, whose main goal is to get hold of Yuno’s Grimoire. Although hopeless and on the verge of defeat, Asta finds the strength to survive upon hearing Yuno’s voice, and unleashing his inner emotions he receives a Grimoire of a five-leaf clover, a “Black Clover” that grants him enough power to overcome the threat. Now they both have a chance to become the Wizard King!
