Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais at the Bell Center in July: the quest for the best joke

Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais had been dreaming for a while of finishing his tour of Jokes Hat Mom Magic Piano at the Bell Center.

For the past month, Pierre-Yves has been taking part in the filming of sketches for Bye Byehe who officially joined the team of actors, alongside Guylaine Tremblay, Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse, François Bellefeuille and Patrick Huard.

“Everyone is so nice and funny,” he says. I never felt like the new kid on the block. I really liked that. I was wondering if it was going to serve as a trial period and if they were going to make me do just two characters. But no, I’m here often. »

“Doing comic sketches, I like that. Looks like I can’t see myself playing in STAT. But I like to play the parody of STAT. I like to play. I don’t necessarily find myself extraordinary. I think I have a limited palette. A dramatic comedy like The invincibles, I would have loved to play there. »

After the end of his tour next summer, Pierre-Yves Roy-Desmarais does not know what the fall of 2023 has in store for him. Everything is possible, from cinema to a musical.

“I try to imagine what will be next,” he said. I really don’t feel like embarking on another tour right away. »
