Does the Musicians Syndicate refuse to sing Wigs at the end of the World Cup?

The eyes of the world are directed towards Lusail Stadium, where it will host the closing ceremony of the Qatar World Cup 2022 on Sunday evening, which is the concert that the Egyptian rapper “Wigs” presents the song “Ezz Al Arab”, which he has already finished, as part of his activities.

However, a lot of news talked regarding the intention of the Musicians Syndicate to pursue Wigs, and that he may not go to Qatar and participate in the closing ceremony of the World Cup, without obtaining a permit from the Syndicate.

A great state of ambiguity prevailed during the past days, prompting the head of the Musicians Syndicate, Mostafa Kamel, to issue a statement to clarify the matter for public opinion, stressing that everything that is being raised regarding the rapper “Wigs” is incorrect and has nothing to do with reality.

Pointing out that there are those who fabricate an unreal and unjustified crisis with the aim of excitement, and do not know what is the purpose of fabricating it and who is the sponsor of it, stressing that “Wigs” like the rest of his fellow members of the rap division, he tried to contain them and reconcile their members.

However, he stressed that Wigs did not come to the union’s headquarters at all, unlike the rest of his colleagues, following the union issued its decision to cancel all previous permits, which means that Wigs does not have the permit to work inside the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Mostafa Kamel confirmed that he, as the Syndicate of Musicians, declares his support for everyone who represents Egypt abroad, provided that it is an honorable representation and befits the reputation of Egyptian art in its various models and forms.
