Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilsonwill not play in Week 15 once morest the Arizona Cardinals.
The veteran suffered a concussion last week in a 34-28 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Wilson cleared the concussion protocol, but head coach Nathaniel Hackett told reporters Friday that the organization decided to give him another week off.
“As an organization, we decided to give him another week to prepare so he’s ready to go face the Los Angeles Rams,” Hackett told reporters Friday. “Russ is one of our main competitors in this game, he’s an incredible player.”
Brett Rypien will be the Broncos’ quarterback in this game.
“We informed him of the decision and he’s not happy. He wants to be out there and play. He’s very competitive as we all know and he wants to compete for this team and be out there on the field. And we as an organization following discussing and talking throughout this week, we have decided that it is in the best interest of our organization to give him another week off,” concluded the team’s coach.
