Free agent Lee Jae-hak (32) remains in NC, the original team.

On the morning of the 16th, NC said, “Sidearm pitcher Lee Jae-hak signed a contract for a maximum of 900 million won with a contract period of 2+1 years.”

Lee Jae-hak, who made his debut at Doosan in 2010, reached his prime following moving to NC through the 2nd draft in 2011. He set various records such as his first complete game, first complete shutout, and first 10 domestic wins in NC, when he entered the first team stage in 2013, and won the rookie title that year. He also posted double-digit multipliers for four consecutive years from 2013 to 2016.

However, it went downhill from the 2017 season. In 2017 and 2018, he only won 5 wins each. In 2019, he rebounded with an average ERA of 3.75 with 10 wins and 4 losses, but was sluggish with 5 wins in 2020, 6 wins in 2021, and 3 wins this year.

Through the club, Lee Jae-hak said, “It feels good to continue playing in NC, which I have been with since the foundation. I will try to show a better image than I did in the past.”
