At Port Said customs, they were imprisoned for 3 years in 51 customs cases, known in the media as “caliber cases,” with a total of 153 years in prison for each of them, and 6 months in prison for two others in the same cases, with a total of nearly 25 years, in the largest corruption case in the governorate’s customs.

The Public Prosecution charged the accused with forgery in official documents, which consist of inspection forms and customs release permits for customs data for a number of containers arriving at Port Said port, which wasted millions of pounds on the state as customs fees for these incoming goods.

The employees were also charged with unlawfully obtaining a public benefit from the work of their job, and deliberately harming the funds and interests of the entity in which they work, and using forged papers by presenting them to the employee in charge of releasing the goods, and the Port Said Criminal Court heard the defendants and defense pleadings until five in the evening. today.

The Public Prosecutor of the Port Said College Prosecution had referred the defendants to the Criminal Court to accuse them of 51 cases on charges of forging official documents, which sentenced 4 Port Said customs employees to 3 years in prison in 51 customs cases, known in the media as “caliber cases”, with a total of 153 years imprisonment for each of them. And 6 months imprisonment for two others in the same cases, for a total of nearly 25 years.
