Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Social media activists circulated videos and pictures of the Moroccan national team’s behavior and “prostration” following their loss to the French national team in the 2022 World Cup semi-final match in Qatar.
While activists, with their comments, raised questions regarding the position of the players’ prostration in front of the audience, other activists went on to highlight that this is the prostration of “thank you” and has nothing to do with the audience.
The Moroccan national team lost to its French counterpart with two goals free of charge, in a match that was held on the floor of Al-Bayt Stadium in Qatar, on Wednesday evening, and the “Roosters” goals came through Theo Hernandez and Randall Kolo Mwani in the 5th and 79th minutes of the match.
The French national team had succeeded in taking advantage of its opportunities and translating two of them into two goals, while the “Atlas Lions” took possession of the ball and made many attacks, but it was stumbled upon by returning and making an adjustment.
The “Roosters” qualified for the final match in the World Cup in Qatar, to set a date with the Argentine national team, which surpassed its Croatian counterpart 3-0.
The French national team reached the closing scene for the second time in a row, as it was crowned the title of the largest world championship in Russia in 2018, while the Moroccan national team will face the Croatian national team in the third and fourth place match.
