Welcome to emotions! The inmates of the Carcassonne remand center will benefit from a concert at home by the duo Le bal des chance this Thursday. An event organized by the association 11bouge within the framework of a partnership with the Penitentiary service of insertion and probation of Aude (SPIP11), allowing prisoners to benefit throughout the year from cultural actions around current music and popular cultures. Concerts around an eclectic program, meetings of artists with prisoners, discovery of musical universes, instruments and routes are offered as part of the cultural season and the artistic project proposed by the association in the agglomeration of Carcassonne and who also register “in the desire to address all audiences”. And it’s the guitar and the accordion that have been chosen to celebrate “like it should be” the end of the year.
Brassens, Vian, Gainsbourg…
For one evening, Le bal des chance will revisit French song with these two instruments in order to “to make people dance, sing, laugh and cry”. Prisoners will be able to rediscover Georges Brassens, Boris Vian and Serge Gainsbourg “to the sound of a frenzied waltz, a lively tune, a mischievous java or a heady chorus. A popular festival where the public communicates in unison”.
