A recent leak assured that the novels written by Jun Esaka and supervised by Masashi Kishimoto, Naruto: Sasuke Retsudenwill have an anime adaptation that will be included as part of the anime Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. This story would begin with the 282nd episode of the series, scheduled for January 8, 2023 in Japan. In fact, the titles of the first two episodes have been confirmed, including:
- Episode 282 Title: Sasuke Retsuden: Infiltration (Sasuke Retsuden: Infiltration).
- Episode 283 Title: Sasuke Retsuden: Star Lines (Sasuke Retsuden, Stars Aligned).
These novels are part of the literary franchise Naruto Retsuden Seriesand are also inspiring a manga adaptation by the hand of Shingo Kimurawhich has been published since October 2022. The synopsis writes:
- Sasuke Uchiha goes to an astronomical observatory, far from the Country of Fire. There he meets Sakura, and together they plunge into an undercover investigation for traces of the Sage of Six Paths. They discover a plan that goes beyond life and death, and a battle that will test this husband and wife team until death do them part.
Ukyo Kodachi y Mikio Ikemoto began publishing the manga in the magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from the publisher Shueisha in May 2016, and later moved it to the magazine V Jump in July 2019. The thirteenth volume published in January 2022 was the last one he wrote Ukyou Kodachisince it has already been replaced by Masashi Kishimoto. In 2017, the anime adaptation of the manga series began to air, produced by Studio Pierrotand it is still on the air.
