The National Assembly (AN) approved this Wednesday, in the first discussion, the Budget Bill for Fiscal Year 2023, presented earlier by the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.
The deputy, Jesús Faria, asserted that this bill “is an absolutely essential instrument for the development of the country,” the AN reports through its Twitter account.
“This budget is subordinated to the great interests of the working people,” he said, adding that it “expresses the great needs of the country,” as well as “providing solutions to the challenges that impede development and that we are overcoming.”
He added that this budget stems from a long-term strategy, which is inserted in the “Plan for the Homeland and the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez.”
He reiterated that this law is nourished and corresponds to the interests of Venezuelan workers.
Vice President Rodríguez pointed out that 77.1% of the budget will be directed to social investment.
