[Exclusive] The full specifications of the Vivo S16 and Vivo S16e have been revealed ahead of the imminent launch

We don’t have a release date for the Vivo S16 series yet, but the phones are rumored to launch in China later this month. The brand hasn’t launched the Vivo S15 in India, so we really don’t expect the S16 series to launch in the country either. However, let’s take a look at the specifications of the Vivo S16 and S16e.

Disclosure of Vivo S16 and S16e specifications

Tipster Ishan Agarwal tells us that the Vivo S16 has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The Snapdragon 870 powers the device, which is in line with the phone’s Geekbench listing. The chipset will be paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The device will ship with Android 13 OS with OriginOS 3.0 on top.

Vivo S16 specifications:

  • 6.78-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate
  • Snapdragon 870
  • Up to 12 GB RAM, 512 GB storage
  • 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP rear camera
  • 50 MP front camera
  • 4,600 mAh battery (66W charging)

The triple rear camera system on the Vivo S16 includes a 64MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. The front camera is not lax as it is a 50MP sensor.

Vivo S16 has a 4,600mAh battery, which looks small. Fortunately, the phone supports 66W fast charging, so it should be able to charge to full pretty quickly. The phone measures 164.1 x 74.8 x 7.4mm and weighs 182g, making it slim and light. Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor and NFC.

Coming to the Vivo S16e, Ishan Agarwal claims that the phone features a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Interestingly, Vivo uses Samsung’s Exynos 1080 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Vivo S16e specifications:

  • 6.62-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate
  • Exynos 1080 chipset
  • Up to 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage
  • 50 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP rear cameras
  • 16 MP front camera
  • 4,600 mAh battery (66W charging)

In the camera department, the Vivo S16e gets a 50MP primary rear sensor accompanied by a 2MP portrait and 2MP macro lens. On the front, the phone gets a 16MP camera, which isn’t quite as powerful as the one on the Vivo S16.

Like the Vivo S16, the Vivo S16e gets a 4,600mAh battery with 66W charging. Despite having the same battery capacity, the Vivo S16e is thicker and heavier than the S16 at 7.8mm and 188g. This device also has an in-display fingerprint sensor and NFC.
