This is the proposal of the transport sector in Lara for the new ticket price

They rejected the actions that occurred last Monday and reaffirm their commitment to dialogue as a means to achieve improvements in the sector.

This was reported at a press conference by Briant Reyes, the complaints secretary of the Bolivarian Transport Union of the state of Lara, who said they remain firm in defending the just demands for all the workers behind the wheel, all within the legal legal framework.

“On November 14, we delivered a proposal to the AMTT of Iribarren to adjust the rate to 0.70 cents given the continuous rise of the dollar, which affects the cost of supplies and spare parts to maintain the units, in addition to the rise in food that also affects as a people “

Reyes indicated that during this month of December meetings have been held in Caracas with Minister Reverol to try to reach an agreement that benefits the entire sector.

“We hope that next Friday the 16th the issue of the rate can be defined in a meeting between Vice President Delcy Rodríguez and the Superior Body of Transportation,” Reyes said.

We are clear that workers from all over the country also need a fair salary because no matter how much the rate is increased, if the worker does not have a better salary, the same situation is repeated; We also call on the conscience of our people so that they also understand the difficult situation that we are going through as a transport sector.

The workers behind the wheel are also affected by the situation in the country, and also not only by the current rate but also by the critical situation we have to be able to supply fuel; they only allow us to place 140 liters of gasoline per week for each unit; With diesel we can only fill one unit every 30 days, this is not enough to work and provide a good service to users and shows that what is issued by PDVSA for the attention of the transport sector is not complied with, and we must pay the fuel at a reasonable price. dollarized

In Lara we should have 55 service stations for the sector, which is not fulfilled either, for which we request the presence in the state of a commission from the Ministry of Transportation so that they can confirm this situation.

This whole situation has already been raised with the Amtt but we still have no solution and meetings are continuing at the national level to try to reach agreements.

For their part, Néstor Pineda, president of the Line 16 Association, and Yoan Orozco of Route 5, indicated that their affiliates had no participation in the violent events that occurred on Monday and categorically reject this type of action and reaffirmed that dialogue will always be the best way to resolve any situation; Finally, they commented that, as is traditional, during the month of December, it is suggested to pay the user only one additional bolivar as a bonus to the workers behind the wheel.
